It’s official – Oh So Social has been a Net Zero agency for three years, and not only have we learned a lot about sustainability, reducing our carbon footprint and minimising our impact on the environment, we have achieved a lot too.
At Oh So Social, we have always been passionate about protecting the environment around us. Well, we do live and work in a beautiful part of the world – Cornwall. With wonderful beaches, stunning countryside and, of course, the ocean on our doorstep, it’s important to preserve these for generations to come. There are many ways that we do our bit for the planet which have become the norm, including recycling, car-sharing, virtual calls instead of travelling to in-person meetings, and reducing single-use plastic.
Since July 2022, we have achieved Net Zero status for Oh So Social, by reducing our emissions as much as possible, and subsequently offsetting the remaining emissions through Ecologi. To achieve this, we chose to address all three scopes of our carbon footprint, even including our social media activity. You can read more about this here.
By offsetting our hard to reduce emissions through Ecologi, we’re proud to share that, as of July 2024, we have not only planted 1,500 trees and avoided 43 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted, we have supported projects that have restored wildlife, wetlands and wildflowers around the globe, protected rainforests from deforestation and supported renewable energy.
Whether it’s at home in sunny Cornwall, or the sustainability projects across the globe, we’re proud to do our bit as an agency to protect the planet we love.
